As a child I grew up in various parts of South Australia which included, Milang, Barmera and Cummins. When I finished Year 12, I decided
I would pursue a career that would complement my passion for sailing. At the start of 2006, I started my career with
Alegayter Sails as an apprentice and in 2008 I completed my my apprentice and became a qualified motor trimmer.
I am now
the 2IC to Alex and manage the general happenings in the workshop which include the management of jobs that come in, staff, stock
control and ordering. My specialist areas are sails, rigging, multi-hull tramps and outdoor blind measuring and installation.
I
have been sailing from a very young age as both parents are serious sailors. I started out in holdfast trainers and moved
through to an Arafura Cadet. After that I sailed a 29er for a few seasons and competed in the 2002 Worlds in Sydney, the Sydney International
Regatta and the Youth Nationals in 2003.
I started sailing Mosquito Catamarans back in 2002 and competed in every National and
State Championship since 2004. I'm currently sailing my second Mosquito and my crew and I have achieved some good results over the
years. Last season (2010-2011) we finished 3rd at the States and won the SA Traveller series as well as Club Championship, Handicap
series and lowest aggregate points at my local Lake Bonney Yacht Club.
